The Chicken, Chemistry and Cats

Photoshopping by the maple shekel!
You may be wondering what James had been up to. His post doc finished in August, and since then he has been working full time on his online organic chemistry tutoring business.

It seems to be taking off and James is frequently up in the wee hours of the morning discussing bromination of alkenes with someone in Florida, or Boston, or Texas. He uses a web cam, Skype and a white board. Students call him from where ever their laptops are, and pay with Pay Pal. Simple, effective and hopefully increasingly lucrative.

As a complement to his business and as a way to draw students to his site, his has been writing blog posts about organic chemistry. You should check it out at www.masterorganicchemistry.com

Today, he managed to combine both his love of Jerusalem's street cats with his passion for organic chemistry. An unlikely combination to be sure, but it is really one of the more clever and hilarious teaching aids I have seen.

No kitties were hurt in the making of this blog post!

I felt like such a nerd reading that blog, not because of the content, but that I actually recognized the source of the blog comments, having frequented blogs and forums where the same people post. XD

Why not just spam out chemicalforums and related sites. Good advertising that way, and maybe try some SEO techniques (search engine optimization) to get more website hits and business.
